SEA Awards $14,000 in Scholarships To College Students Pursuing Environmental Studies

Surfers’ Environmental Alliance (“SEA”) has selected four college students to receive $14,000 in college scholarships for the upcoming school year.  All of the students are majoring in a form of environmental studies. They were selected based on their academic achievement, community activism, career plans, and personal ambitions.

SEA received a record number of applications this year, and the SEA board of directors are exceptionally pleased that so many outstanding students intend to pursue careers in environmental studies.  SEA offers two types of scholarships. Three students received the Environmental Studies Scholarship, and one student received the Benjamin J. Keiser Memorial Coastal Engineering Scholarship.  Below is a list of the 2019 recipients.
