Monmouth Beach and possibly North Long Branch will begin another sand pumping project this fall. Congressman Pallone and Senator Menendez have successfully obtained millions of dollars from the federal government and Governor Christie is kicking in a few million more from the broke state of NJ to replenish most of Monmouth Beach. This will completely destroy the surfing and fishing that has just started coming back to North Long Branch, Sea Bright, and Monmouth Beach. SEA and SurfRider Representatives staged a protest when Pallone and Menendez held a press conference and announced their plan to the home owners of the Shores Condominiums in Monmouth Beach NJ. SEA will be meeting with the NJ DEP in the next few weeks to get details of the plan and will request modifications once we have reviewed the plan.
