We are pleased to support interested groups who are committed to establishing or expanding SEA chapters. We have prepared a draft charter which is authorized by the SEA board of directors based on location, degree of commitment and the submission of a plan to ground the chapter firmly, and will provide it with other materials, contact support and consultation.
We are also pleased to hear suggestions of crucial issues in your locality.
As far as next steps, if we can get the information completed, we will have the board vote on establishing chapters quickly.
We suggest a focus on building chapter membership. “Critical mass” is necessary to achieve our goals of activism. Also, please suggest areas that need the national board’s attention, and, of course, that the chapter act as “the cutting edge of environmental activism” for those areas which you think are most critical..
