Agate Construction Fined 14k for Dumping Debris in Deal

New Jersey’s Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Has recently fined  Agate Construction Company $14,000  for illegally dumping  debris along the shoreline in Deal New Jersey.

NJDEP says  Agate violated the New Jersey’s Coastal Area Facilities Review Act, the Waterfront Development Act and two other DEP regulations regarding beach dumping.

The fine came about from the incident which took place at the Roosevelt  Ave. beach (shoreline) on Friday, February 19th, 2016.

Agate construction, while working on the outfall at Poplar Brook, illegally dumped debris dredged from the outfall area and deposited it at the shoreline.

Back in February  an ACOE representative said, “THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN.”
